    Inge and her husband Phil have four children between them, and they play a central role in supporting people in the Illawarra. Inge is a registered nurse and works in management. Inge’s background in health and management gives her a unique perspective on charitable work.

    Victor and his wife Annie have a background in international aid and are passionate about helping people in need. Victor is also a successful businessman and brings a wealth of knowledge to the charity.

    Annette is passionate about helping others and especially those in need. Annette's previous employment as a nurse allows her to see the care needs of people from a unique perspective. Annette's primary motivation is to see people live well and be whole and active members of their community

Aussie Aid & Illawarra Community Care’s Board of Directors, Jason Kent, Inge Garvan, and Victor Abela, together with a range of external consultants, have a broad range of qualifications and skills ranging from social welfare, child protection, education, health services, work health and safety, and business. Together, the Board and consultants, steer Aussie Aid and Illawarra Community Care and keep the charity accountable to its vision, goals, and values.
